We recently brokered a deal for Love Rugby League to become the main sponsor of new Scottish club Forth Valley Vikings.
As the game looks to grow north of the border, it seemed like a good fit – particularly given my Vikings connections!
Forth Valley’s new purple and green kit will have the Love Rugby League logo on the front as main sponsor, as it prepares to start life playing other community clubs in Scotland at senior level, before developing teams at Under 16s and Under 19s as participation levels increase.
“We’re pleased to be joining Forth Valley Vikings on their journey from day one. I am a passionate advocate of expanding the game in the right way, particularly by developing the player pool in new areas. Clearly for this to happen, multiple teams need to be created in new areas, and hopefully the addition of the Vikings will provide the already established Scottish community clubs with more games to play, and thus creating more interest. I look forward to using our experience and reach to help grow not only the Vikings, but rugby league in Scotland as a whole.”
