Exeter Chiefs were the well-deserved winners of the European Champions Cup in 2020 as they delivered a superb performance throughout the season and dominated both the domestic and European Rugby becoming the ultimate number 1 team this year.

When we wrote our Champions League preview back in November 2019, we had no idea that a pandemic would emerge that would halt sport for nearly half a year. But after the round of 16 was halted in March, the Champions League 2019/20 is due to resume on 7 August.
The tournament will resume with a continuation of the round of 16 games before the quarter finals follow less than a week later. All of the remaining matches will be single-leg affairs and they will all be held in Lisbon, Portugal.
We may have to wait an extra year to enjoy what would have been Euro 2020, but that just gives football fans more time to indulge in their second favourite pastime, making fruitless predictions.
